Frank Armstrong is a highly experienced professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, currently serving as a Non Executive Director at Edinburgh Innovations and as a Trustee and Council Member for both the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. Since June 2022, Frank has been Chair of Bloomsbury Genetic Therapies, a gene therapy company, and also chairs BioCaptiva, a medical device company focused on capturing cell-free DNA for diagnostics. Frank has held the position of Non Executive Director at ECO Animal Health Group PLC since May 2020 and has been Chair of Newcells Biotech since June 2019, which specializes in advanced pre-clinical science. Additionally, as a Member of Court at The University of Edinburgh since August 2017 and a consultant through Dr Frank M Armstrong Consulting Ltd since January 2012, Frank provides strategic insights to various companies in product development and corporate strategy. Education includes an MB ChB in Medicine from The University of Edinburgh and early schooling at George Heriot's Edinburgh.
