Sjors Martens has a diverse range of work experience. Sjors is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at Eco-Movement, a globally leading platform for EV charging station data. In this role, they focus on data quality and completeness for clients such as Google, HERE, and Tesla. Prior to this, Sjors was the Vice President of Business Development at Komaza, a decentralized forestry company. Sjors was responsible for setting up wood processing, marketing, and sales operations. Before that, Sjors worked at Mobisol Group, where they started as the Sales and Partnerships Development Lead and was later promoted to the role of Chief Commercial Officer. Sjors oversaw the growth of various departments and achieved nationwide brand awareness. Additionally, Sjors worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. as part of the New Market Opportunities team, where they successfully reduced prices and created demand forecasts for health products in developing countries. At Accenture Strategy, they gained experience as a Strategy Consultant and Analyst, working on projects related to energy transition, sustainable mobility, and circular economy. Sjors also has experience working for the Dutch National Government and Canon, Inc.

Sjors Martens has an extensive education history spanning multiple universities and fields of study. Sjors began their academic journey at Maastricht University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in University College from 2002 to 2006. During this time, Sjors also participated in an International Exchange program at the University of Helsinki in 2004.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Sjors moved on to Maastricht University once again, where they attained a Master of Science degree in International Economic Studies with honors (cum laude) in 2007. Sjors further broadened their educational horizons by enrolling in the Japan Prizewinners Programme at Leiden University from 2007 to 2008, focusing on the study of Japanese.

In 2009, Sjors joined Erasmus University Rotterdam to pursue a specialized degree in Economic Policy known as BoFEB, which they successfully completed in 2010, graduating with honors (cum laude).

In addition to their formal education, Sjors Martens has also obtained a certification in Growth Hacking by completing an immersive course offered by Growth Tribe in July 2021.
