Madibinet recently joined Ecobank with a wealth of experience in the legal field. He was previously Senior Vice President and Lead Transaction Counsel at the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) in Lagos, Nigeria.

Before joining AFC, Madibinet worked as Senior Legal Counsel at the African Capacity Building Foundation in Harare, Zimbabwe. He was an associate in the Banking and Finance Department of law firm Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, in Paris; an associate at the Finance Department of law firm Gide Loyrette-Nouel, in Paris and an associate in the Legal and Tax Department of Ernst & Young (now EY) in Conakry, Guinea.

Madibinet holds a master’s degree in Law from Harvard Law School, a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from University Paris Descartes, a master’s degree in Business Law and a bachelor’s degree in Law from Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense.

He is a qualified OHADA law, Civil law and Common law lawyer. He is an Attorney and Counsellor at Law at the New York Bar of Attorneys.
