Jeremy Schewe, PWS has a diverse range of work experiences in various fields. Jeremy started their career in 2001 at the UNC Highlands Biological Station, where they worked as a Botanist and Landscape Designer, responsible for curating and designing a 28-acre native plant botanical garden. Jeremy also conducted watershed studies, botanical inventories, and managed public programming. In 2003, they joined Environmental Quality Management, Inc. as a Field Tech and Project Manager before transitioning to the role of Project Manager. Jeremy then worked as a Contractor in Ecologist/Botanist roles at Design Workshop and Otte Enterprises from 2005 to 2009. In 2010, they became an Environmental Project Manager at Falcon Engineering, Inc., where they served until 2015. In 2013, they founded Inchanted Journeys, organizing eco-retreats, sacred journeys, workshops, and promoting the connection between culture and nature. In 2017, they co-founded Ecobot, a company specializing in digital tools and industry expertise for stream and wetland environmental assessments. Throughout their career, Jeremy further demonstrated their entrepreneurial skills as the Owner and Senior Scientist at Unaka Environmental, LLC since 2005.
Jeremy Schewe, PWS has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science - Agroforestry from Warren Wilson College, which was completed from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Northern Arizona University from 1997 to 1998, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study. Their high school education was completed at St. Xavier High School from 1991 to 1995, with no specific degree or field of study mentioned. In January 2020, Jeremy obtained the certification of Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) from the Society of Wetland Scientists.
