John Ira Hudson

John Ira Hudson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the solar industry. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Engineering at EcoFasten Solar® since November 2018, Hudson manages the Product Development department, focusing on product design and new product introduction in PV solar mounting. Prior to this role, Hudson was the Division Manager at RBI Solar Inc., overseeing the roof PV mounting division. As Vice President of Engineering at Renusol America, Hudson led product design and technical support for PV solar mounting while managing the startup operations of the US division of Renusol GmbH. Earlier positions include Director of Solar Manufacturing Operations at JAC-Rack, where operational systems were established for a solar division, and Product Engineering Manager at JAC Products, focusing on engineering processes and cost reduction projects. Hudson began a career in the automotive industry as a Launch Manager at Franklin Aluminum Company. Hudson holds an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and a BSMET in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University.
