David Fine holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Washington and a BA in Chemistry from UC San Diego. They began their career as an Associate Scientist at Metanetix, developing technologies for metal recovery, and later worked as a Chemist in R&D at Heraeus Metal Processing. Currently, David serves as the RD&E Director of Operational Innovation at Ecolab, where they drive supply chain resiliency and support various business sectors, having previously led infection prevention R&D efforts in the Healthcare division. They have extensive experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology, project management, and new product development across multiple roles in the company.
