Farid Affandi

Farid Affandi is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various accounting and financial leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Country Financial Controller for Ecolab in Malaysia, Farid harmonizes financial operations for two entities while reporting to the SEA Finance Director. In addition to this role, Farid provides consultancy services to SMEs and start-ups as a freelance consultant, mentor, and speaker. Previous positions include Head of Finance at Prestige Sports Sdn Bhd, where strategic financial guidance was provided for a multi-million revenue business, and Head of Technical Accounting at Maybank, responsible for implementing new accounting standards. Farid's career began at IBM Malaysia as a Financial Analyst, leading to a diverse background that includes experience in project accounting, cash flow management, and financial consolidation across various companies. Farid holds the FCCA designation from ACCA and a Diploma in Accountancy from Universiti Teknologi MARA.
