Peter Webber

Peter Webber is a seasoned professional in the field of research and development within the chemical and environmental sectors, currently serving as the Global R&D SHE Director at Ecolab since June 2022. In this role, Peter oversees comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs for over 1,200 global associates, manages compliance assessments, and reports safety metrics to leadership. Prior to this, Peter held posts as R&D Director and Senior R&D Group Leader at Nalco Water and Nalco Champion, where responsibilities included managing diverse scientific teams, driving global innovation strategies, and enhancing safety initiatives. With extensive experience in oilfield chemicals and a strong background in process improvement, Peter has developed patented technologies and led successful projects that significantly contributed to revenue growth. Peter earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The Ohio State University.
