Aurelien Serandour is currently the Vice-Dean of International Relations and an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale de Nantes, where responsibilities include overseeing student mobility and teaching cell/molecular biology and genetics. Aurelien's research focuses on gene screening in pneumonia, conducted at INSERM CR2TI. Additionally, Aurelien serves as a member of the National Council of Universities (CNU 65 Cell Biology) in France, a position held since election in 2023 after prior nomination in 2009. Previous experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of Cambridge, studying chromatin and transcription regulation in cancer, and at EMBL, focusing on chromatin-associated proteins. Aurelien began academic pursuits as a PhD student at Université de Rennes 1, investigating epigenome dynamics during cell differentiation. Aurelien holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from Université de Rennes I.
