Olivier Kermorgant

Olivier Kermorgant is an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale de Nantes since October 2015, specializing in robot and multi-robot perception, collaborative SLAM for aerial and ground robots, and multi-sensor-based robot control. Kermorgant teaches various subjects including C++, computer vision, and the Robot Operating System (ROS), and oversees the CORO master's Advanced Robotics track. Previous experience includes roles as a research engineer at IRT Jules Verne, focusing on autonomous welding robots, and as a Maître de conférences at Télécom Physique Strasbourg, where Kermorgant engaged in research on visual servoing and medical robotics. Early career contributions were made as a research assistant at Heriot-Watt University and a PhD candidate at Inria, where Kermorgant researched multi-sensor fusion, and as a research engineer at ArcelorMittal working on neural networks. Kermorgant holds a Ph.D. in Signal Processing from Université de Rennes I and a Master’s degree in Intelligent Systems from CentraleSupélec.
