Doug Mahone

Energy Committee Chair at Ecology Action

Doug Mahone is the current Energy Committee Chair at Ecology Action. Doug has devoted their career to energy efficiency and climate change solutions. In 1989, they became the Director of Architectural Research at ADM Associates, Inc., where they consulted on energy efficiency and program evaluation. Doug then co-founded the California Technical Forum in 1999 and served as its Founding Executive Director until 2003. From 2009 to 2013, Doug was a Co-Founder, Board Member, and Treasurer of the California Energy Efficiency Industry Council. Doug retired from active engagement in 2016 but continues to work on special projects on a part-time basis.

Doug Mahone obtained their SBAD and M.Arch. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of architecture and building science. Doug also holds a diploma from Mamaroneck (NY) High School in the fields of calculus, chemistry, English, and French.
