Ed Schmalzle

Ed Schmalzle currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at EcoMap Technologies, Inc., starting in February 2024, while also holding the positions of Technical Advisor and Vice President of Engineering at WholesomeCo Cannabis since March 2020. At WholesomeCo, Ed worked with government leaders to develop technical solutions for the Utah cannabis market and played a pivotal role in architecting a fully integrated platform, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Previously, Ed was the Vice President of Engineering at HiMama from April 2021 to February 2024, where significant team scaling and process improvements were achieved. Ed's professional journey includes positions such as Technical Advisor at IndiFit, Vice President of Platform Strategy at Leafly, Director of Engineering at OrderUp, and Co-founder of Back Forty. Ed's experience is complemented by development roles at Figure 53, SmartLogic Solutions, and Oracle. Ed holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
