Tobey Clarkin

Tobey Clarkin is a Civil Engineer currently employed at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration since September 2018. Prior to this role, Tobey served as the Chief of Projects at Veteran Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System from April 2015 to September 2018, leading a team focused on the planning, design, and construction of projects for two VA Hospital Systems. Tobey's experience also includes working as an Environmental/Civil Engineer at URS from February 2008 to April 2015, where responsibilities involved tailings dam design and operation. Earlier in Tobey's career, service in the United States Air Force included roles at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany and Kunsan Air Base in Korea. Educational achievements consist of a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) and a Master of Science in Forest Resources from the University of Washington, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
