John B. Sternlicht, JD, CEc.D, FM, HLM, serves as the CEO of the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County since July 2015, where leadership focuses on enhancing the region's economic well-being through collaboration with private and public stakeholders. As Principal of Sternlicht Global Solutions, John provides consulting services specializing in economic development law and policy. Previous roles include Economic Development Advisor to the County Executive of King County, Senior Director at SRI International, General Counsel & Legislative Director for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and Assistant Attorney General for Virginia. John holds a BS in Comparative Regional Studies from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
