Kelli Smith

Campaign Research Director at Economic Security Project

Kelli Smith is the Campaign Research Director for the Economic Security Project. Before joining the ESP team, she led efforts in Washington state to improve economic well-being through a more equitable tax code, spearheading the campaign to modernize the state Earned Income Tax Credit. Her research and policy expertise spans an array of issues affecting economic security, including progressive revenue, equitable state budgeting, economic mobility, and K-12 and higher education funding. Kelli started her career as an attorney and holds a J.D. from University of California, Davis School of Law.
