Amanda Kroft

Amanda Kroft has been working in the tech industry since 2011. Amanda began their career as a Research Marketing Analyst at Management Science Associates, where they created PHP programs to collect social media data for clients using Facebook and Twitter APIs, analyzed healthcare data on services provided to detect fraudulent activity using R and SQL, and automated execution of frequently run programs using Cron jobs. Amanda then worked as a Research Assistant at Duquesne University, where they researched natural language processing methods for predicting authorship and other characteristics of written documents, incorporated more advanced data mining tools into the existing Java research software, and created JUnit tests for verifying accuracy of Java software. From 2011 to 2014, Kroft worked as a Programmer at Economic Systems Inc., where they helped develop the Java backend of a web-based searching and sharing product which included text extraction, PDF conversion, and indexing files from file systems and the web, as well as improve efficiency and software design of other programmer's code. From 2014 to 2016, Kroft was the Lead Developer at Collected, where they led the development of the Ruby on Rails application, Collected, and worked with search technologies, Linux server setup, and AWS ec2 instances. Finally, from 2016 to present, Kroft has been the Lead Software Developer at Economic Systems Inc. Additionally, from 2014 to present, Kroft has been the Developer and owner of TerrePets.com, where they program the website and new features, handles player needs, and helps manage the backend servers.

Amanda Kroft obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics from Gettysburg College between 2006 and 2010. Amanda then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Computational Mathematics from Duquesne University between 2010 and 2013.
