David Herrera is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Offshore Field Development Leader at Ecopetrol since May 2019. David has held several leadership roles within Ecopetrol, including Technical Leader for Development Piedemonte and Asset Development Leader for the Casabe & Yarigui area, as well as working as a Reservoir Engineer. Previously, David was with Chevron from January 2006 to April 2019, where responsibilities included roles such as Subsurface Team Leader and Production Engineer Consultant, in addition to various positions as a Reservoir Engineer. David began the career at Pacific Rubiales and Flamingo Oil S.A. as a Petroleum and Production Engineer, respectively. David holds a Master of Business Administration from Robert Gordon University and a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad de América.
