Juan Camilo Pineda Mesa

Juan Camilo Pineda Mesa possesses extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Head of the Portfolio and Investments Department at Ecopetrol since March 2018. Previously, Juan held various key positions at Equión Energía Limited from 2010 to 2018, including Commercial and Planning Manager, where responsibilities included optimizing strategy, performance management, and partner relations. Prior to Equión, Juan worked at BP from 1997 to 2010 in roles such as Project Manager and Planning Manager, focusing on strategic planning and performance management for the Andean region. Juan began the professional journey as a Planning and Costs Engineer at Estudios Técnicos S.A. after earning a Civil Engineering degree and graduate studies in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes.
