Juan Carlos Pacheco Muñoz

Juan Carlos Pacheco Muñoz is an experienced petroleum engineer with a robust background in operations and production management within the oil industry. Currently serving as Ingeniero Integral de Operaciones A at Ecopetrol since October 2018, Juan Carlos focuses on developing early production facilities for new wells and participates in projects for the Akacías field. Prior to Ecopetrol, a significant tenure at Petropiar spanned from September 2012 to October 2018, where roles included Superintendente de Operaciones Térmicas and temporary Gerente (E) de Operaciones, leading various teams in enhanced oil recovery and production optimization. Earlier experience at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. and PetroUCV, S.A. involved project evaluation, production control, and operational oversight. Juan Carlos holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela, earned between 1998 and 2004.
