Mauricio Paez Barrera

Mauricio Paez Barrera is a Petroleum Engineer with extensive experience in drilling and completion operations within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as an A-level Drilling and Completion Engineer at Ecopetrol since March 2017, Mauricio is responsible for the Well Delivery Process for the Yarigui Cantagallo project and oversees drilling operations in multiple development fields. Prior to Ecopetrol, Mauricio held senior engineering roles at Consultec International Inc. and Baker Hughes, focusing on drilling operations, client relations, and market strategies. Mauricio began professional training with Petrobras America Inc. and also has experience in HSE and environmental engineering at Geocol Consultores S.A. Mauricio earned a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad de América in 2005.
