Walter Salazar

Walter Salazar is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in production control, well surveillance, and reservoir management within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Production Control Engineer and ESP-ALS Cost Control at Ecopetrol since January 2018, Walter has focused on production optimization through integrated analysis and management of well operations. Previous roles include positions at Oxy, SERTECPET®, Baker Hughes, and EQUION ENERGIA LIMITED, where responsibilities ranged from daily production monitoring and artificial lift system analysis to the design and optimization of completion methods. Walter holds various educational qualifications, including a diploma in Integral Project Management from Universidad Surcolombiana and recent studies in energy transition at Universidad de La Sabana.
