Karina Santana is the Chief Operations Officer and co-founder of ECOTIERRA, a pioneering carbon project developer focused on sustainable agriculture and forestry projects using a unique bottom-up approach. With extensive experience spanning over two decades, Karina has worked with private companies, international cooperations, and local governments across multiple countries, specializing in agroforestry production such as coffee and cocoa. In addition to managerial roles, Karina has served as a teacher in institutions including Séminaire de Sherbrooke and Commission scolaire de la Région-de-Sherbrooke, focusing on Spanish language and Latin American culture, and has experience as a consultant in intercultural communication and cultural integration. Karina holds a Master’s degree in scholar, social, and cultural adaptation from Université de Sherbrooke and has multiple degrees in education, including second language education from Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle.
