UX/UI Lead Designer at Ecotrak

Carolina Murcia has a diverse work experience in the field of UX/UI design. Carolina is currently a UX/UI Lead Designer at Ecotrak Facility Management Software, where they are responsible for translating concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Carolina also conducts testing to assess user experience and ease of design, and utilizes recent studies and findings to establish the best design elements for UX design experiences. Additionally, Carolina creates surveys for user feedback and enhances the user experience through seamless navigation.

Prior to their current role, Carolina served as a Senior UX Strategist/Designer at Taoti Creative and as a UX/UI Designer at bvc-Bolsa de Valores de Colombia S.A. In these positions, they utilized Design Thinking Methodologies to empathize with users, define their needs, and develop schematics and wireframes around customer needs.

Carolina also has experience as a UX/UI Designer at El Socio Digital and a 3D Render Service Specialist at RebusFarm GmbH. In these roles, they focused on designing graphic pieces for social media networks and providing customer support for 3D modeling projects.

Furthermore, Carolina has worked as a UX/UI and Social Media Designer at 360 Onlinewise, where they designed graphic pieces for social media strategies and managed social media accounts. Carolina also worked as a Product and Marketing Intern at the Smithsonian Institution, where they gained experience in graphic design and product marketing.

Carolina's expertise in UX/UI design, combined with their knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies and customer support, make their a valuable asset in creating intuitive user experiences and driving customer satisfaction.

Carolina Murcia obtained their Bachiller degree from Saint Patrick High School in 2009. Carolina then enrolled in Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where they earned a degree in Industrial Design from 2010 to 2015. In 2012, Carolina attended the University of Pittsburgh to enhance their English language skills, completing an Advanced English Language program.

After gaining professional experience, Carolina pursued a Postgraduate Program Specialization in Strategic Management at Universidad de la Costa CUC from 2019 to 2020. Carolina later obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Software and Coding Fundamentals for UX from the UX Design Institute in 2022.

Continuing their education in the field of UX design, Carolina enrolled in the Master of Arts program at UPF Barcelona School of Management from 2023 to 2024. Carolina specialized in Digital Information with a focus on Usability, Interaction Design, and User Experience.

In addition to their academic achievements, Carolina has acquired several certifications. Carolina completed the Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) program offered by SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in November 2020. Carolina also obtained certifications such as the UX/UI Diploma from LCI Bogotá in March 2021 and the Certificate in Software and Coding Fundamentals for UX from the UX Design Institute in October 2022. Carolina has further enriched their knowledge and skills through mentorship programs, earning certificates for "500 Mentorship Minutes" and "10 Mentorship Sessions" from adplist.org in November and October 2022, respectively.
