Jamese Kwele serves as the Vice President of Organizational and Food Systems Equity at Ecotrust, focusing on equity-centered organizational development, vision and strategy leadership, and fundraising. As Co-Founder of the Black Food Fund, Jamese works to transform Black-led food systems in the Pacific Northwest. Previous roles include Director of Equity at Ecotrust, where Jamese developed the organization’s Racial Equity Action Plan, and Director of Food Equity, directing initiatives for greater racial equity in food systems. Jamese also has experience as a Senior Associate at The Food Trust, managing various food system programs, and served on the Board of Directors for the William Penn School District. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies and African Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
