Kennon Otey has extensive experience in research and development, particularly within the cannabis industry and biomaterials sector. As the Pilot Operations Supervisor at Ecovative since February 2022, Kennon leads a team of 12 in pilot scale biomaterials R&D while ensuring compliance with USDA’s Good Agricultural Practices. Prior to this role, Kennon served at NETA from August 2016 to November 2021, advancing from Research and Development Technician to Research And Development Manager, where Kennon's leadership in process optimization resulted in significant increases in salable yields and quality metrics. Kennon also has a background in restaurant management, having successfully managed operations at A & M restaurants from August 2014 to August 2016. Kennon Otey holds an Associate's degree in General Studies from Yakima Valley College.
