Kay Friedrich Thomsen has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Thomsen started working at Grieger Mallison AG Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in 1991 as a Vorstandsassistent. From 1994 to 2004, Thomsen was an authorised officer at Grieger Mallison. In 2004, Thomsen joined ECOVIS Europe AG as a member of the management board. Thomsen then became the President of ECOVIS International in 2008 and held the position until the present. In 2019, Thomsen also became the President of ECOVIS Americas.
Kay Friedrich Thomsen earned a Diplom degree in evangelical Theology from Kiel University from 1983 to 1988. Kay Friedrich then pursued further education at The Philipp University of Marburg, earning a second Diplom degree in evangelical Theology from 1988 to 1991.
