Daniel Merton is a seasoned professional in diagnostic medical sonography with over 30 years of experience. Currently serving as a Principal Project Officer at ECRI since October 2013, Daniel focuses on enhancing patient care quality and safety through the evaluation of medical technologies. Previously held roles include Adjunct Associate Professor at Drexel University, Clinical Instructor at Thomas Jefferson University, and Technical Coordinator of Ultrasound Research at the same institution, alongside consulting as a Sonographer at the Philadelphia Fertility Institute. Daniel began a career in sonar operations with the US Navy, which laid the foundation for extensive research and clinical expertise in ultrasound imaging technologies. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Imaging from Jefferson Health and an Associate Degree in Biology/Zoology from the State University of New York.
