Jennifer Markham has over 20 years of work experience in the legal field. Jennifer is currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer at ECU Health since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at UNC Health for 12 years, starting as a Senior Staff Attorney in December 2011 and eventually becoming the System VP and Deputy General Counsel in January 2021. Jennifer began their career at Smith Anderson in 2003 as an Associate and worked there until December 2011.
Jennifer Markham earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1995 to 1999. Jennifer then went on to obtain their Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Richmond School of Law from 2000 to 2003.
