Jay Pavlinak

Jay Pavlinak started their work experience in 2001 as a General Crew Laborer at Bluestone Perennials, where they were responsible for plant maintenance and quality control. Jay also helped with plant relocation and stocking during clearance sales, as well as gathering plants for shipping.

In 2012, they became an Assembly Team Leader at ORBIS Corporation, where they supervised coworkers in the proper assembly of shipping containers. Jay assigned tasks, interpreted blueprints, and inspected finished products for quality.

In 2014, Jay worked as a Driver Assistant at UPS for a short period.

From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Shipping Manager Assistant at Bluestone Perennials during the Spring and Autumn shipping seasons. Jay ensured proper packaging of shipments and retrieved plant varieties for the shipping department.

In 2015, Jay worked as a Decontamination Assistant at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. Jay maintained protective clothing and equipment, and transported hazardous waste.

Finally, since 2017, Jay has been an Associate Developer I at Edaptive Computing, Inc. Jay acted as the primary lead Java developer on a desktop application and gained skills in Angular/front-end development through PluralSight subscription.

Jay Pavlinak began their education at The College of Wooster from 2005 to 2008, where they focused on Mathematics and Computer Science. Jay then attended Kent State University from 2009 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Financial Mathematics. In 2013, Jay completed a program in Effective Communications & Human Relations at Dale Carnegie. In 2016, they attended The Software Guild for Web Development and obtained a degree in Full Stack Java Development. Additionally, Jay obtained two certifications in Microsoft Excel - Basics and Advanced Microsoft Excel from Excel with Business in August 2014 and December 2014, respectively.
