Michal Rabara is an experienced executive with a robust background in global sales and organizational leadership within the microscopy industry. Currently serving as Treasurer on the IFSM Executive Committee since January 2024, Michal supports scientific research and financial activities of the organization. As Vice President of Global Sales at Gatan and EDAX since February 2020, Michal has been instrumental in managing budgets, achieving record revenues, and integrating personnel for operational excellence. Prior roles include President & CEO of Tescan USA Inc., where strategic development and market expansion were priorities, and Managing Director Asia at Gatan Inc., responsible for driving substantial sales growth in the region. Michal holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Engineering from The University of Tokyo, an MBA from the University of Bradford, and an MSc in Material Science from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave.
