Ashley Katz, LEED AP, currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President of Real Estate Transactions at the New York City Economic Development Corporation since August 2022. Previously, Katz served as a Research Associate at the MIT Sustainable Urbanization Lab from September 2021 to July 2022, where involvement included the Sustainable Real Estate Development Action Fellowship and contributions to sustainable real estate knowledge mapping under the guidance of Dr. Siqi Zheng. Katz's experience also encompasses roles as a Venture Cofounder at MIT designX, Project Manager and Senior Architectural Designer at Gans and Company, Teaching Assistant at Pratt Institute, Co-Editor in Chief for the Pratt Undergraduate Journal of Architecture, Project Manager for Uri Aran, Architectural Designer at TPG Architecture, and an Architectural Intern at SITU. In terms of education, Katz earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute with a minor in Sustainability, as well as being a candidate for a Bachelor of Architecture at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
