Irene Maropakis

Irene Maropakis has a diverse work experience with two notable positions. Irene began their career in 2001 as an Office Manager at Teri Nichols Institutional Food Merchants LLC and held this role for nearly seven years. In 2008, they joined the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) where they served as a Procurement Outreach Analyst. In this role, Irene worked closely with project managers and contract analysts, assisting in the release and administration of procurement and non-procurement solicitations. Irene also provided support to the legal department for Freedom of Information Law requests and participated in audits conducted by various departments. Additionally, Irene was responsible for website updates, customer service for vendors, and tracking and filing important documents related to the Corporation's contracts and procurement actions. Irene later advanced to the position of Vice President at NYCEDC.
