Emily Amstutz is a skilled Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in healthcare. Currently serving at EDCare since November 2020, Emily previously worked as a Registered Nurse at The University of Kansas Health System from May 2016 to November 2020, and as a Nurse Intern at St. Luke's Hospital from May 2015 to May 2016. Emily holds a Master's degree in Nurse Practice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, earned between 2018 and 2020, and a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from The University of Kansas, obtained from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Emily began Pre-Nursing studies at Kansas State University from 2011 to 2013.

Eating disorders are a serious mental health issue and finding the right treatment program is important. Founded in 2001, EDCare offers patients, their families, healthcare professionals and the community over 22 years of eating disorder experience. Our flagship center is located in the heart of Denver, Colorado where we are committed to empowering individuals suffering from eating disorders to make healthy, long-lasting changes. EDCare has become one of the nation’s foremost center for the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders. Our multidisciplinary team of board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, clinicians, family and experiential therapists, and registered dietitians provide treatment to adults, ages 18 and older, of all genders and ethnicities. We offer a safe, judgment-free environment where individuals can gain the tools and support they need overcome the serious complications of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other related disorders. Upon admission, an interdisciplinary treatment team is assigned to each patient based on their individual needs. This means every treatment plan is unique and is designed to fit the individual. We currently offer various programs in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska. All of our treatment centers have earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval. Housing options available in Denver and Kanas City. Most major insurance plans accepted.
