Amanda Houlis

Amanda Houlis has a wealth of work experience. Amanda began their career in 2006 as a Tour Guide & Greeter for Gettysburg College Admissions. In 2009, they became a Lead Teacher KG1 (Preschool) for the American School of Marrakech. In 2010, they were a Lead ESL/EFL Instructor for the American Language Center. From 2011-2014, they held several roles, including Founding Kindergarten Teacher for Uncommon Schools, Substitute Teacher for Pompton Lakes Public School District, 4th Grade Mathematics Teacher and Grade Level Chair for KIPP New Jersey, and 2nd Grade Teacher and Grade Level Chair for KIPP New Jersey. From 2017-2021, they were a 4th and 5th Grade Teacher/ESL Teacher/English Department Curriculum Coordinator and 4th and 5th Grade Teacher/ESL Teacher/English Coordinator for The French American Academy. Most recently, they have been an Instructional Coach for EdConnective since 2021.

Amanda Houlis completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Religion, and Law from Gettysburg College in 2009. Amanda then went on to earn their Master of Education (M.Ed.) from William Paterson University of New Jersey in 2018, with a focus in Curriculum and Learning: Bilingual and ESL.
