Courtney Lemon-Tate, Ed.D. has held a variety of roles in the education sector since 2011. Courtney began their career as a Secondary Science Teacher at World Communications Charter School. In 2014, they moved to The Preparatory Charter School of Mathematics, Science, Technology, and Careers, where they held the role of Secondary Science Teacher and designed and implemented a biology curriculum to meet the new Pennsylvania State Keystone Standards. In 2016, they took on two roles; Curriculum Director at The Preparatory Charter School, and Consultant and Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis. In 2017, they became the Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs at West Catholic Preparatory High School. In 2019, they took on the roles of Director of School Leadership and Principal at Independence Mission Schools. Finally, in 2021, they became a Leader and Teacher Coach at EdConnective, and a Springboard Consultant at Springboard Collaborative.

Courtney Lemon-Tate, Ed.D. received their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership from Temple University between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned their Master's Degree in Biology, General from Saint Joseph's University between 2009 and 2011. Courtney also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Ursinus College, which they obtained between 2005 and 2009. Additionally, they hold Pennsylvania State Teaching Certifications in Biology (7-12), Chemistry (7-12), Middle School Science (7-9), and Middle School Math (7-9) from Ursinus College, as well as a Principal Certification pK-12 from Temple University.
