Marie Bastien

Marie Bastien has held various roles in the education sector since 1999. Marie started their career as a Secondary English Teacher at the NYC Department of Education in 1999. In 2004, they took on the role of English as a Second Language Instructor at the same institution. Two years later, they became an English Teacher at the NYC Department of Education. In 2007, they were promoted to English Language Arts Lead Teacher and in 2010, they became an English Language Learner Services Administrator. In 2022, they joined iTutor.com Inc. as an English Tutor 7-12 and EdConnective as an Instructional Coach.

Marie Bastien has an extensive education history. Marie obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature from New York University in 1999. Marie then returned to New York University to earn a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2003. In 2006, they earned a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision from the same university. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications from the University of the State of New York Education Department, including Educational Administration and Supervision, English Language Arts 7-12, and Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages. Most recently, they obtained a Remote Work Foundations certification from LinkedIn in March 2022.
