Joni Alonso

Joni Alonso has had work experience in the field of event management and exhibit sales. From 1992 to 2000, Joni worked at the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) with various roles, including Show Manager for NMMA Boat Shows and Operations Manager for the Miami International Boat Show. In 2001, Joni joined the Edd Helms Group Inc as the Director of Tradeshows and Special Events.

Joni Alonso holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Miami. In addition, Joni has obtained various certifications including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, Covid-19 awareness training from 360training, Covid-19 Contact Tracing from John Hopkins University SAIS Online, Covid-19 Mass Gatherings Risk Assessment Training from the World Health Organization, Covid-19 Pandemic Compliance Advisor from NSF International, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn, Safe & Clean Pledge from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and Miami Begins with Me Customer Service Training Certificate with a focus on LGBTQ Diversity & Inclusion from the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Joni has also obtained a certification as a GBAC-Trained Technician with an emphasis on Covid-19 from ISSA - The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association.
