Kamel Semakieh

Kamel Semakieh has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Kamel is currently the CTO and Co-Founder of Yababa, where they led the development and successful launch of an online grocery platform. In this role, they grew the tech department, implemented effective processes, and managed the tech budget. Kamel also designed a secure cloud infrastructure and a cutting-edge BI infrastructure for data analysis. Prior to Yababa, Kamel founded and served as a board member of In2 - Sports, Fitness & Activities, where they led the vision and development of the company. Kamel successfully pivoted the concept to a sports and fitness management SaaS, grew the company to 15 employees and over 100 clients, and established a strong presence in the MENA market. Kamel also played a role in the strategic partnership between In2 and Yababa, where they oversaw the development of Yababa's app. Before their work at In2, Kamel co-founded and advised eddress and Shelvz, and was a co-founder of Outswitch. Kamel started their entrepreneurship career with Codefish, where they grew the company to 35 employees and successfully delivered numerous projects in the EMEA region. Kamel also worked as a Software Engineer at Ericsson and a Software Solution Consultant at IBM.

Kamel Semakieh completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer & Software at Concordia University from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they obtained two additional certifications. In April 2015, they completed Meditation Teacher Training, and in August 2015, they obtained a certification in Personal Leadership from LMI Lebanon - Leadership Management® International.
