Dipl. Ing. Axel Schmidt

Dipl. Ing. Axel Schmidt is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in site reliability and cloud engineering. Currently serving as a Site Reliability/Cloud Engineer at EDEKA DIGITAL GmbH since January 2019, Schmidt has contributed to the company's "Cloud First" strategy, focusing on Cloud Governance, Security, and compliance. Prior to this role, Schmidt held positions including Senior Information Technology Specialist at LUNAR GmbH, where leadership of the “Store IT Infrastructure” research group was undertaken, and Enterprise Architect for POS Solutions at Novell GmbH. With a background in technical specialization at SUSE Linux GmbH, Schmidt also has experience as CEO of Syntec GmbH and as a System Analyst at Danet GmbH. Schmidt holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering and Data Technology from h_da Hochschule Darmstadt, University of Applied Sciences.
