Vidya Shah is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in finance and social impact. Currently serving as the Executive Chairperson and Chairperson and CEO of EdelGive Foundation since May 2007, Vidya has spearheaded initiatives aimed at bridging resources and expertise between the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, inspired by firsthand experiences with credible organizations addressing various social issues. Prior to this role, Vidya was the Chief Financial Officer at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, where important functions such as Finance, Human Resources, and Administration were overseen. Additional experience includes positions as Vice President for Telecoms Advisory at NM Rothschild & Sons India Pvt Ltd, and significant roles in advisory services at Peregrine Capital Limited, management at ITC Classic Limited, and as Deputy Manager at ICICI Bank. Vidya holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a B.Com from R. A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics.

EdelGive Foundation is a grant-making organisation, working towards expanding the ecosystem of philanthropy in India by funding and supporting high-calibre, small to mid-sized organisations working towards empowering children through education, women through social and economic empowerment and vulnerable communities through resilient livelihoods. Our unique philanthropic model places at the centre of grant-making by providing the initial grants and by managing funding from other institutional and corporate partners, at zero cost. Our grants are used for both financial and non-financial needs of the organisations we support. Apart from adding capacities and scale, grants are used to build operating capabilities of these organisations. EdelGive Foundation believes that impact should be targeted and exponential in nature. Every contribution of EdelGive, pooled with contributions of other large organisations, and supported by capacity building, should yield asymmetric impact for our organisations.
