Neil Gilfedder

Neil Gilfedder, CFA, currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Edelman Financial Engines since May 2014, overseeing portfolio construction, research and development, and fiduciary quality assurance for clients. Prior to this role, Neil held several senior positions, including Senior Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management at MSCI from November 2007 to May 2014, and Managing Director at Barclays Global Investors from May 2006 to November 2007. Neil's earlier experience includes a Principal role at MSCI Barra from June 1998 to May 2006. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Economics from the University of York. Additionally, Neil pursued studies at UC San Diego and attended The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School.
