Nick Nelson

Nick Nelson serves as a Senior Vice President at Edelman since December 2017, where responsibilities include creating the Business Development Lead role for Edelman Austin, managing $1 million annually in existing business, and developing communication strategies focused on executive visibility and industry thought leadership. As a Diversity & Inclusion Steward, Nick promotes inclusive recruiting practices and conducts cultural competency trainings across the Southwest offices. Previous experience includes various roles at Cohn & Wolfe, SHIFT Communications, and earlier positions at Edelman, where media strategies and client engagement were key focuses. Nick's career began during college at Howard University, where involvement in the student association and contributions to campus publications laid a foundation for a career in public relations and communications. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from Howard University.
