Bernd Bauer

Bernd Bauer has extensive experience in the aviation industry. Bernd began their career as a Sales Representative at Crossair in 1994 and later took on roles in Product Management and Route Development. In 2002, Bauer joined Swiss International Air Lines and held various leadership positions, including Vice President Network & Fleet Development and Managing Director Sales & Marketing Europe. Bernd then joined Edelweiss Air AG in 2014 as CEO before transitioning to the same role at Discover Airlines in 2022.

Bernd Bauer received their education from various institutions over the years. In 1987, they began studying at Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik, where they obtained a Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Transport Management & Logistics in 1992. After a break in their education, in 2007, Bernd pursued a Master of Arts degree at Lancaster University, completing the program in 2009. Then, in 2017, they attended IMD, where they obtained a Diploma of Education through their Leadership Transformation Program.
