Rob Brown currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Eden Brew, focusing on engineering systems and developing innovative processes for animal-free dairy products to enhance climate sustainability. Additionally, Rob holds the positions of Scientific Advisor and Vice President of Research at Viridos, where management of a multi-disciplinary team is directed towards the development of renewable fuels and chemicals through advanced synthetic biology and genomics. Rob's extensive career includes roles such as Senior Director of Gene Discovery and Genome Engineering at Synthetic Genomics, Senior Scientist at Diversa Corp, and Research Leader at Solexa Ltd. Rob's academic credentials include a PhD in Biotechnology from Open University and a BSc in Biotechnology from De Montfort University.
