Eden Technologies is developing the RO Centrifuge (ROC), a next-generation reverse osmosis platform engineered to solve RO’s biggest bottlenecks: high energy consumption, costly ultra-high-pressure (UHP) generation, and membrane scaling and fouling.

Traditional RO relies on large pumps to create pressure across membranes, and performance is often limited by energy intensity and membranes that clog as salts precipitate (scaling) or organics and solids accumulate (fouling). Eden’s RO Centrifuge uses centrifugal force to generate ultra-high effective pressure at the membrane, driving water through standard, off-the-shelf RO elements while changing how pressure is produced and applied. This enables a pathway to more efficient high-salinity separations and longer membrane runtime.

This breakthrough approach is poised to transform oil and gas produced water treatment, municipal desalination, mineral extraction and brine mining, where energy cost and membrane reliability determine what’s possible at scale.
