Jeremy Elkins is a professor of jurisprudence, political thought and social policy at Bryn Mawr College. He has worked in a variety of consulting and administrative capacities for professional organizations, helping to rationalize them and improve their efficiency. A native of Los Angeles, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after college and received his PhD from Berkeley Law School. At the University of California at Santa Cruz, he helped to build a legal studies program, which he subsequently chaired. After moving to the East Coast and accepting a position at Bryn Mawr College, he was principally responsible for re-structuring the Plan of Governance for the College. His wide range of interests includes administrative jurisprudence and social and political thought. He has published widely in a diverse set of fields, including law, political theory, and psychoanalysis.
