Nanyi Wang (Leon)

Nanyi (Leon) Wang has a diverse work experience, primarily in the fields of software engineering and data analysis. Nanyi (Leon) started their career at Sichuan University as a Teaching Assistant, where they assisted in teaching philosophy courses. Nanyi (Leon) then worked as a Pharmacy Intern at Chengdu Second People’s Hospital, where they supported ward rounds and case analysis under licensed pharmacists.

After that, Nanyi joined UPMC as a Lab Intern in Neurology, where they conducted immunoblotting assays to study ion transporters in glioma tissues.

In 2017, they joined EDETEK, Inc. as a Statistical Programming Specialist, focusing on analyzing clinical data following CDISC standards, particularly SDTM. Nanyi (Leon) then became the Manager of Clinical Process Optimization, leading SDTM projects and providing internal training. Later, they were promoted to Senior Manager of Product Engineering, overseeing the local Product Development Team and leading the design, development, and testing of various software tools. Currently, Nanyi serves as the Associate Director of Software Engineering and IT at EDETEK, managing the global Product Development Team and handling business negotiations with clients in the pharmaceutical industry.

Nanyi (Leon) Wang started their education journey in 2011 by pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from Sichuan University. Nanyi (Leon) successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2015. Building upon their bachelor's degree, they enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 to pursue a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Continuing their academic endeavors, they concluded this phase of their education in 2017.
