John Costa

John Costa is an experienced energy regulation professional currently serving as the Energy Regulation Manager at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland since November 2024. Previously, John Costa has held the position of Senior Transmission and Trading Advisor at EDF Energy since December 2001, where responsibilities included gas market management, forecasting gas prices and volatility, and involvement in the Gas Network Code Panel and Gas Forum. Prior to EDF Energy, John Costa managed contracts at Enron Europe, overseeing a portfolio valued at £50 million per month from January 1999 to October 2001. John Costa holds a Master of Arts in Energy Studies from The University of Sheffield (1996-1997) and a degree in International Business with Honors from Sheffield Hallam University (1991-1995), focusing on the Portuguese marble and granite industry.
