Sam Billington

Sam Billington is an experienced professional in the nuclear industry, currently serving as the acting Head of Commissioning Authority and Senior Commissioning Manager at EDF (UK), overseeing a £500m commissioning programme. Previous roles include Commissioning Alliance Manager for the HPC Commissioning Alliance and Commissioning Manager at Horizon Nuclear Power, where significant contributions were made to develop a £300m commissioning programme. Additionally, Sam held managerial positions at AREVA RMC and Jacobs Engineering, focusing on project management, client relationships, and strategic development. Sam's career began in the Royal Navy as a Project & Commissioning Engineer, complemented by a strong academic background in Nuclear Reactor Technology and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Surrey and the University of Southampton.
