Alasdair Fulton

Alasdair Fulton is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland since June 2023, focusing on reliability and life extension strategies for wind energy projects. As the founder of Alternative Futures Consulting Limited, Alasdair provides independent consulting services in asset management and technical advisory for both onshore and offshore wind, with specialized expertise in condition monitoring systems and wind turbine life extension. Other roles include Associate Consultant at Xodus, Board Member at Glasgow Tool Library, and previous leadership positions at Wood and Doosan Power Systems, where Alasdair led teams in optimizing wind turbine operations and conducting complex engineering investigations. Alasdair holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Engineering: Offshore Renewable Energy and an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
